I would like to know if anyone has a used 3 dog trailer for sale. Must be in excellent condition. If a used one cannot be found I am not sure which brand to purchase. Looking for feedback. I live in Florida and Colorado and am concerned about the heat in the Jones Trailer made out of Stainless steel. The WT looks very light. Would like to hear from those that have these trailers and their recommendation/comments.

I have a WT Metall Thermo Max 4 stall trailer. I also considered the Jones Trailer but I liked some of the features on the WT better. Double stall doors, top storage, modern suspension, modern light weight body. I highly recommend the dual axel model with the dual exhaust fans. The dual axel will help the ride considerably. Dual fans move twice the air. Good luck shopping, cueman

I have the stainless steel Jones 6 extra large stall trailer. It is heavily insulated. I had custom inner doors installed. It also has the heavy duty fan. I have NEVER ever used the fan nor had need for air conditioning with the inner doors closed (they are bar doors) and the outer doors open. The dogs have always been comfortable, in heat and in snow. Stainless reflects the heat and the highest temperature will be the ambient temp. High relative humidity could be an issue in Florida or the south, but leaving dogs unattended in a vehicle or a trailer with a/c running and no other source of ambient air is dangerous anyway. The cost of the a/c unit is not justified in most situations. The Jones has been an excellent piece of equipment, is a good and new as the day I bought it and stainless steel will last a lifetime and hold its' value.

You better look closer at your "modern" suspension on the thermo. It is a carry over from farm equipment trailers. It is called a torsion arm suspension. What it is is solid steel shaft with an arm on each side that trails behind and down that the wheel spindle is attached to. This steel shaft is encase in hard rubber and held inside a hollow tube. The only spring action is the flex of the hard rubber inside the tube. I looked long and hard and we purchased the jones 6 dog trailer. We had tried a thermo for two weeks and we could see the trailer bouncing down the road. We rode in it ourselves and it was rough. The jones has larger compartments for the dogs, and the springs make it a MUCH smoother ride. We put in a 2000 CFM fan and have had no problems in 100 degree heat. We pull our jones trailer with a chrysler town and country minivan. We love our jones trailer.
