With the first deadline here I was wondering if anyone had news on the number of entries at this point?

Yeah, I heard there are 58 Wilhendorf dogs, 63 Mittelwest dogs, 41 Bullinger dogs (including yours) and a handful of imports that will be brought in a few days before the show whose purchase price included a top placing and / or belong to relatives of judges' friends... so what, about 180 or something at this point... ?

For heavens sake... doesn't anyone have a sense of humor? I was just joking!! Apparently I have struck a nerve and I am very apologetic... My comments were just an exaggeration of how many entries at the shows are filled by our top North American kennels... It was not meant to cast a negative light on the 2006 Sieger Show or be critical in any way. I think Julie and Tracy are exceptional people and I commend them on the kennels they have built and the success they have had.. they have the resources to show many of their top dogs at the years events, and they have produced truly 'world class' dogs with an impressive team of followers...I consider them friends and did not mean to cast them in a negative light, which apparently may have been the interpretation. While I do not know the Henkels personally, I have seen them and their dogs at many events over the years, and they are also, top caliber producers of GSDs. They have very impressive animals and have dominated the field in this country. I am sure they will put on a first class event, as USA always does... As far as top placings and politics... again, you just hear people talk and I was being silly... I am sure this never happens in the SV show system, and I did not mean to imply the system has anything less than a high degree of integrity with judges that are respected worldwide! I also did not intend to imply that these kennels use political connections or purchases to further their success.. why would they need to..??? I am sure nothing could be further from the truth, and honestly, I was just kidding around. Please know that no malice was intended... I would encourage everyone to attend the USA Sieger Show and have a great time!! Again... SO Sorry..!!

Why apologize? It was funny. Looking over the placement of dogs from the NASS, I would say that although you're exaggerating a BIT on the numbers of entries from said kennels, the idea is still the same. Nothing bad about having numerous dogs shown from any given kennel, certainly nobody has said such? As far as top placings and politics? That is so. That is life in this world. :) Best of luck to all who have entered in the show!

Steel Magnolia I thought it was funny as well and not far from the truth, which is the sad part. It's too bad the North American shows rely on these three kennels and maybe Gail's as well. Same faces different places! But I was still curious as to the number of entries? It probably is 58,63,41.

The total as of yesterday, according to USA's treasurer, is 331.
