Have a new item on the "Honey-Do List"!... I am looking into a new whelping box..mine has had it! Has anyone seen the "Jonart" whelping boxes? www.thewhelpingbox.com Seem very nice, but a little on the pricy side to me! Wish I could tell how the thing is constructed! :) Looking for something light weight yet sturdy, can be cleaned/disinfected easily and won't require tools to assemble/break down (however you'd do THAT!) Any ideas and constructing suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Don't know about this box you refer to (but will check it out!)... I have the DuraWhelp 4'x4' box, it is actually plastic coated corrugated cardboard and its construction is what makes it sturdy... it fits together by attaching velcro strips and has siderails which help the sturdiness.. it is easily cleanable and dryable and breaks down to fit into a shipping carton about 5" deep and about 5' long... We usually get several years worth if litters out of them... I typically move my pups to a different area between 3 and 4 weeks whihch is about as long as it will owrk once they get big and adventurous!!

Thank you for your reply DKiah! I had seen the DuraWhelps and wondered how they'd hold up! Have a great evening!
