AKC DNA Requirements - Page 1

Has anyone on this board read the message in the WDA newsletter on page 3 regarding NOTICE TO BREEDERS OF FOREIGN SIRED LITTERS WHELPED IN THE UNITED STATES? Does AKC cross reference DNA submitted on puppies back to the listed parents? Is this the organization's subtle way to discourage using Foreign Stud dogs?

"Every time I read this list I shake my head in amazement at how many get ripped off by others. Where do you think this breed will be in 10 years if this keeps up? I'm glad I have no desire to breed or show a GSD from European lines." Blitzen you may be thrilled to know that this may eliminate the desire to use European Stud dogs as it may be more difficult to register the litters unless of course all the European owners submit AKC DNA samples and pay the US fees for their stud dogs to be eligible.
