You can't learn if you don't ask questions, I apologize if you were offended. Just curious, how did you end up with a Canadian dog if you are from Europe. I would think with experience and connections in the sport of Schutzhund in Europe you would have purchased one from there.

czinca SV stud on CKC female -- is it possible? WHY NOT?? But first...you said you know how to train a dog for schutzhund? Why not train and put Schutzhund title in your female first before breeding.

czinca, You remind me of my self sometimes... I can just imagine myself going back as a year or two wanting to breed my AKC male, Jake... which you can see his pedigree and picture at http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/121705.html Please do not breed unless if you know for sure that you know your stuffs, meaning that you can explain to your potential costumers what's Schutzhund and conformation in a professional manners. Theirs going to be potential buyers wanting to know why you had bred theses 2 dogs. I have been doing a lot of search in the past 3 years and I still admit that im still not ready to breed. Feel free to stay on this site (God I hope it doesn't shut down again! ) and learn a thing or two :)

You have a beautiful female of pet quality. If you clearly see that she doesn’t have a sufficient temperament then why breed her? Puppies will most likely to have temperament just like her. If you wanted to breed her in order to keep a better puppy for yourself – this is not the best way to do it – you most likely will be disappointed again. I think it is much better is to do lots of research and study and then in several years to get a puppy from some great kennel that breeds dogs like you like. Now, I don’t want to be attacked for being discouraging or criticizing. I am saying as it is.

I think it wonderful when a newbie, or anyone for that matter, can be helped and not criticized.

I don’t know what to write now, you all were helpful and had honest words for me and my dog. It is more then obvious that you all care for the future of this beautiful breed. I would like to be no acceptation and that is why I asked for an advice. From your reaction I will think twice before I decide on breeding puppies that might not have the desired quality. It’s more then possible then I won’t breed her at all and maybe try CKC obedience or even FH (she loves tracking). Then in the future with the help of this website I will choose a kennel and parents of my new dog and maybe it will be on this continent because I am still convinced that there are some breeders who produce excellent examples of this breed. Thank you again Blitzen, Makosh, GSDfan, 1doggie2, Brittany, etc. and all other who contacted also my email.
