I’m new to this site and so I think I’m doing something wrong. I’m researching a potential puppy but I can’t find her sire and dam pedigrees here. I have the AKC pedigree report the breeder e-mailed me so I have all of their names and AKC numbers but I haven’t located one on this site. What am I doing wrong?

Chances are you aren't doing anything wrong, and the parents of the puppy haven't yet been entered on this site. Pedigrees in the database are generally entered by the owner of those dogs, or by somebody who enters their pup's parents. The Pedigree Admins who specialize in GSD pedigrees also have entered, and continue to enter, dogs of historic importance in the database, as do some of the members of the site.
If you click on the blue 'Contact Information' button at the bottom of the page, you'll find links to private message the Pedigree Admins, Fantom76 and GSDHeritage, with the information you have on the pup's parents, and they can probably help you get those dogs entered into the database.
