Hip Ratings - Page 1

I am researching a pedigree and the dam's siblings do not have their hip ratings posted on this database. Is there an SV site or another site where I can find out the ratings of these dogs? Thanks in advance Jan ;-)

Hip rating I dont know. But on the SV site, you can get their ZW, it is an indication.

I have a question pertaining to the HD Zuchtwert. I’ve seen dogs with a value as high as 103 and some as low as 72, which is better? A higher or a lower value?

Lower is better. This is the link to where you can check the ZW # for a dog that is registered with the SV. http://www.schaeferhunde.de/sv_start.htm You can check with the dogs First name & Kennel name (leave out the von or vom)or the SZ # (leave out SZ, use only the number) Remember, the dog must have an SZ #, Registration numbers from other countries of origin will not work. Can you check ZW# if the dog has a double registry with USA/SV? Thanks

I have the ZW number which is 101 for the dam. I understand this is high but this does not give me any indication what the siblings in the dam's litter rated and if any were displastic. The dam's hips are rated a3 and I was hoping to find some info on her siblings ratings. This will give me some idea if she was the only one who rated a3 or if the cross is no good. I wanted to purchase a pup from the litter. The pups were advertised here on the database, Sire Karat's Ulk and a Bax daughter. Such wonderful bloodlines. Any ideas????????
