if they are boggling your mind that is a good sign. Keep on asking questions. Eventually you will find the answers.
Just knock on the door and they will open.
There is a little amazing thing which you can do. That is if you REALLY want to know the answers, pray for it from bottom of your heart and I guarantee you that sooner or later you will get your answers.
After all what do you have to loose?
Believe me I know what you are talking about and how you feel about it. At some time I was there too.....

Luke 23:33-34.
And when they were come to the place,which is called Calvary,there they crucified him,and the malefactors,one on the right hand,and the other on the left.
Then said Jesus,Father,forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment,and cast lots.

P.S. Pilate said: I find no fault with this man.
Bird why like the Sanhedrin,do you attempt to find fault in Christ?. By the way,the Sanhedrin was the highest Jewish tribunal during the Greek and Roman period.
