Joe is the best I know.

Our club membership is less then $150 a year.

I started puppy circle after my puppy turned 4 months old. We practice every week, I always ask for a homwork assignment. Progress is very quick. Homework is less then a 30 minutes a day for my 9 month old. We have dogs of all levels practicing and by watching the training I learn many things.

Joe also has a kennel, boards and trains dogs.

This resume is posted on his website.

He will not accept dogs that are agressive to other dogs or to people.

Joe is excellent, located in TX. Depending on where you live, I might be able to recommend a number of really wonderful SchH trainers in this country.

By the time I have a dog to Schutzhund 1 I have hundreds of hours of training in.

Club dues under $500./yr. I consider "reasonable", but clubs located in or close to a large metropolitan region (ex: SF Bay Area) have a lot harder time finding/securing training fields and tracking, often paying high rent, so their costs can necessarily be 2-3x higher.

Have fun training your dog!  SS

T.Floyd- Just google his accomplishments, they are WAY too numerous to list here! Also, look at his accomplishments with his students, most recently nationals. He had 3 ppl in the top 8! 2nd, 4th, and 8th place!.........and thats just recently.

The easiest way to look for a trainer is look at not only THIER accomplishments but also club members, and students accomplishments. These merits will stand on thier own!

The best trainer in the world is one good enough to get to as far as you and your dog can go, and also one YOU can work with!

Randy Rhodes---hands down.  He has been on the World Team six times with five different dogs I believe.  It is incredible how well he can read dogs.  He is an excellent obedience trainer!  He has also been an awesome coach for me since I moved to Warsaw IN to train with him from Indianapolis.  Was driving here to Warsaw to train with him 2-3 times a week for two years before I moved.  It was the best decision I ever made.  Barb

Ivan Balabomov, Fritz Beihler, now my mind is running a blank but will think of more later

I think, a better question would be, who is the best in my area? A super trainer 1000 miles away is useless. One thing that I have learned, is a true trainer is one that can train his students and their dogs. Look at the trainers that have been mentioned. Many have been on the team or placed well at a championship. Now of the trainers, how many have trained other dogs or people to a top ten placing?
