Why do I keep hearing people say to be careful when buying from Texas.  I know this is true from Florida but Texas......hmm.  that is disturbing.

Better watch for California as well!  USIMPORTS/SARAH FOX, scammers.

Dang, Florida, Texas and California!  What ever happened to honestly and integrity?

by hellsbeast02 on 29 November 2008 - 05:11

When your money hungry honesty and integrity go right out the window. I really don't think that the liars, cheats and scammers are limited to just Florida, Texas and California, they are all over. You just have to be careful and pay attention to complaints. Remember  that there are real legitimate complaints and then there are  buyers that  just want to get our attention and sympathy; they want to smear a breeder and ruin years of work, just because they don't get their way. BEWARE OF THOSE THAT CRY WOLF....

I live in CA, and bought from Texas.... I had a GREAT experience. Its not the state, its the breeders. Do your research, and ask questions and everything will be fine. This goes for every state.

If your buying in texas check out heidelberg german shepards from spring tx. Im from Ok and I bought from Eugine Thompson at heidelburg and I cant believe the results. My 4th shepard and by far the best temperment plus the best in confidence and most powerfull looking and handsome dog arround. Not cheep but worth the price if your looking for the best and you can pass the interview. They love thier dogs and stand behind what they sell.

I have to adamently disagree with  cstone on buying anything , including the stinky fishy dog food he makes and sells , and if your dog has hip dysplasia from all his inbreds , show low riders, blind or half deaf, german shepherds, and you didnt feed his dog food,  sorry he won't even talk to you. Rant for months, it's your fault. Gene has cussed Schutzhund sport or any germanbred working dog to my face , and the Pct 4 Harris Co. SO, saying all are raising crazy bite dogs. Michael Franklin who worked for THOMPSON, and was fired, I prosecuted for theft of my pups, Gal. Co. SO. K9 officers pup and adult dog bred by  me, opened the door for all Houston to see the real things that went on inside Heidelburg Kennels in Spring , Texas.  When you purchase his pup you do not get an AKC registration for two years. YOu must return to him 1/2 of one or two litters before such paperwork is issued to you.    My vet , Dr. Venhaus in Tyler , Texas and many other vets accross Texas cringe when the see the name Heidelburg..He talked to Heidleburg to try to get an elderly lady her dogs papers..She did not understand what had been done to her registration and had never heard of someone holding a litter clause back before an AKC paper was issued. His conversation was not a nice one with employee of Heidelburg..

Many of the low rider, walk on the hind leg , improper structure of the SV standards are severly bred into these dogs. One of the SO K-9 officers, worked for a short 30 days back in the early 90'sjust to see what went on.   Board a male dog, well you read between the lines.   Dna of any dog bought there would be advised. Check out the vets in Houston/Texas area before you buy here.

Gene did me a favor and testified in Michael Franklins trial. He didnt want to, but he was supeaned by Harris Co.. Pct 4 and me and had to. He helped get the conviction we wanted. Only thing I can find positive to say about my experience and many others..Pm me and I can give name of others. The name Heidleburg has nothing to do with Germany...Below is what he breeds best:

THIS PICTURE TAKEN ON THE PROPERTY IN SPRING , TEXAS.  RAISED FOR MILK .

I ask the poster......STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL?  THAT IS A NEW ONE TO ALL THE PEOPLE I KNOW.

DID YOU GET A DOG REPLACED BY GENE THOMPSON?  WHEN AND WHAT DOG. AND WHY.

OR DID YOU JUST GET TOLD THAT.

HIS DOGS ARE NOT WORKING DOGS AND DO NOT MEET SV STANDARDS. I CAN SPOT ONE A BLOCK AWAY ., ESPECIALLY AT PETSMART IN HOUSTON , TEXAS.

This breeder (Vom Fenwald) was in Illinois. The reputation was not good in Illinois, so now it follows the breeder to Texas. If you are not honest, EVENTUALLY.... EVERYONE finds out!  I almost bought a dog from this breeder , but had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I did not.

Texas is not at fault, nor is Illinois.

Buyers Beware!!!!
