I keep getting this question from members. The answer is usually quite simple.
1. It is a duplicate and thus already in the PDB database
2. You did not enter the required data
3. It is a dog who is not registered with any organization recognized by PDB

Many members write and say "I entered all the data. Why was my dog deleted? I see many dogs on the database with less data."

One answer is that we have 3 sometimes 4 UNPAID/VOLUNTEER Pedigree Admins to look at 100-200 dogs each day (249 breeds). It is impossible to scrutinize all the dogs each day. I start out fresh in the morning, looking at every newly entered dog's pedigree, but as the day goes on and I am getting further and further behind, I start just looking for obvious problems. I try to send PM's to members explaining why I did what I did, but that takes a lot of time, especially when I am sending to foreign members and have to translate English into a foreign language (using google translate),

Another answer is that prior to 2016, there were no minimum requirements except for the name. So dogs added before then, were not scrutinized.

Another reason, is that the requirements are only for the dog (without progeny,,,,unusually a pup) and the parents. That is all that we require, because that data should be readily available on your purebred dogs registration paper.

PDB Members need to follow PDB rules dogs need Breed Book and Registration numbers not just names.
