Came across this vid of a old style GSD purportedly from Romania. Very large and beefy body with straight back and obviously over sized. Does his demeanor suggest that he may bite for real? Why/Why not?

The video won't play for me. Maybe it's because I'm in Canada, and some countries block us from being able to view them. Those horrible people to the South are the worst offenders...
Anyone have a link to a recent thread where a guy showed that even very well-bred working line GSDs wouldn't bite if an intruder entered their yard? I think the guy doing the filming even entered the house when the dogs were there, and they did nothing but bark.
The same dogs bit just fine after being trained to do so.

Sun - it is not due to being in Canada, but rather that Mith has not embedded the vid properly.
Mith - see this thread that I started to learn how to embed vids, I figured it out after a bit of trial/tribulation. Second post on thread for details:

Dunno; but DDR or whatever, he looks & acts so much like a dog I looked after in England in the 1960s, I'd say he probably would bite you, and mean it, if he could only get off that chain and through that fence. Especially based on the second half of the vid; and provided he didn't know you / the cameraperson. But then, what do I know about it ?
