Can anyone recommend anywhere in Europe that you can go for a 2 to 4 week trainers course without bringing your K-9? Looking for a reputable place not just some backyard breeder/trainer that has not even trained a police K-9 or competed in regional competitions. Also any prices associated with such training? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

In Portugal you can contact Mr Paolo Picariello www.paolopicariello.com/ he is an amazing trainer, works mostly malis. In Italy you have Mr Massimo Giunta www.lafontanella.net/ , and you can try to talk also in Portugal with the president of my club Mr Luís Santos but he usualy don't do this tipe of class you are looking, he is a great militari dog trainer but it would be unlikely for him to do something like that.
Know Paolo and Massimo work from a lecture they gave in our school, also they were guest judges at my litle Isa obedience exame, and Paolo is one of the responsible trainers from the militari dog formation/course that Flávio is doing.
Also in the summer Portugal have the most amazing beaches to relax in the training clearances

Spaul, I don´t know how involved in dogsports you already are, but I wouldn´t pay good money for any "trainer course" ( Only for the record - you have to distinguish between IPO and police dog training - over here no police dog training for private people...)
( With some help of friends ) you should be able to find active clubs in Germany or elsewhere where you are allowed to watch and learn for a couple of weeks.
In case you are able to work as a helper-good for the club. A cheap bed and breakfast hotel or maybe a room in the home of dogfriends that´s what you need.
An active club with several dogs and some skilled handlers-that´s the way to go.

Contact Bart Bellon in Belgium. He offers 2-4 week schools teaching his NePoPo method, with or without a dog. Bart is THE best trainer in the world today and needs no introduction to anyone.
