An acquaintance of mine passed away recently and her dog has ended up at a shelter. We are trying to get more details and figure out correct ownership and/or if the dog can be transferred to rescue but in the mean time, any interested persons should contact the shelter.

How the dog ended up there is complicated but I've learned that he was legimately transferred to the shelter so right now it's their call on adoptions/foster/rescue.

I,m going to call at Lunch and get details. Can,t let a nephew of Axels set in a shelter. He is well bred.

I really like the top half of the pedigree. Unfortunately I cannot adopt/foster him right now, I am told he is not good with other male dogs and I have two males (including one his age that is intact and protective of me, OK with my foster dogs but wouldn't let a new male come in and boss him around). I've observed this dog doing bitework training on many occasions so if anyone wants details about that please PM me.

Bob (et al) I just received e-mail from the shelter and they sound very pleasant and are open to rescue/foster pull if the right paperwork is provided. They sound like they have his best interest at heart. If you need help with pull or transport let me know. I live in Grand Rapids so I am pretty close. I mentioned your name in my response and that you might be calling to inquire.

hexe, I know the dog's full history and that would be futile. He needs to get into a home ASAP and not just be passed around to people that think they have claim of him.
