A4510386 Brunzi is a regal three year old brown and black male German Shepherd who was found in Monterey Park and brought to the Downey Animal Care Center. We...
ighing seventy-seven pounds, Brunzi walks okay on leash and knows how to “sit” on command but will benefit from additional training; we also believe he may be housetrained. He is very attentive, gets along okay with other dogs and we predict he will do best with older children. Brunzi will enjoy taking long hikes and runs with you and will make an amazing exercise partner and indoor pet for an active individual or family with older children living in a private home.

This one is a real beauty. I'd take him in a heartbeat too if I had another kennel run.

Anyone have a run to lend Shelley?

Shelley- did you look on craigslist for a run? Sometimes people just want to get rid of them, or fencing, and sell it for very little.

There a 6'x'6'x12' listing for $360 in the Sacramento area-ID3412088230-looks to be in good shape from the picture-I can chip in.

Unfortunately I am tapped out for funding for rescue dogs right now. The dogs have been tearing the lightweight chain link kennel runs up so I have to repair them almost daily, so I won't be wasting money on any more of them. I suspect that's how most of them end up in the shelters in the first place. I was working a moonlighting gig to help with their expenses, but I got laid off that one yesterday, at least for now, and my day job is always one pay-period away from a termination. IOW- I really have to watch the rescue budget. A tank of gas here, a trip to the vet for x-rays there, a used dogloo the next week, and I'm dipping into the one month's emergency rent in my paltry savings account.

I am on CL several times a day, hoping to find a nice welded wire run advertised, but I rarely find one, and when I do its usually nearly as expensive as a new one, and so far away, with gas prices for a borrowed truck, that it would be cheaper just to go to Tractor Supply in Yuba City and buy one new... or its already sold.
Contrary to popular belief, I don't live all that close to Sacramento, either.I'm in zip code 95953.  Its about 65 miles north of Sac, not exactly down the street. Chico is actually closer.
I'm doing the best I can for as many dogs as I can, but its never enough. Very sad.
Keep buying those lottery tickets so we can save them all one day.
