I heard from Marjorie as the storm was approaching and she was leaving her home to go stay with friends. I haven't heard from her since then.

Prayers and pawsitive thoughts going up for Marjorie and her family, human and animal. I suspect the cell towers are even down in that area right now.

I heard from Marjorie and she is ok. Miraculously, her house was also spared and she is back there now, although there is no power and she has no idea when they will get it back.. Her area is devastated, with much of it flooded, like many areas in Sandy's path. The water is not drinkable and is too toxic to even boil or wash dishes with. It will be a very long time before things are restored and life returns to "normal" for Marjorie and everyone else in her area.

Thank you all and to those who pm,d me. Can't believe I finally got here cell service is spotty at best. Our home was miraculously spared despite area being underwater. No heat no power possibly to thanksgiving. Houses were washed away. Cannot believe we were spared!! Phone is freezing up so want to say thanks for all the well wishes and prayers hard to post ns want to get this here before it freezes again. Miss u all!
