I don't see many of his offspring being offered for sale lately. Is Ursus still being used for stud? Also, what is the usual price for a pup or young adult by him if anyone knows. Thanks, Melody

i believe ursus has been retired from breeding. he has produced more than enough sons to continue his lines.

Ursus has not been made available for stud for some time now. No one has really specifically stated the reason (at least publicly), although there is a wide divergence of speculation.

Ursus, until very recently was at stud in Italy. He was retgurned to Germany around the time of the 2004 BSZS. You can still breed with Ursus, but are cautioned that at his age(over 9) the dam may not have that many offspring(like maybe one).

I was under the impression that stud males were retired at the age of 8 years. Believe this is an SV rule. There are plenty of good Ursus sons and we keep tripping over them in every showring. A really fine dog. Sunny
