How sad. It's so important to know what will happen to your dogs if something happens to you, even if you're young. Whether you write them into your will and set up a little trust for the cost of their care, or just talk to a friend or loved one, make your wishes known! It saves your survivors from having to guess what you would have wanted or wrestle with the courts or animal control if no arrangements are in place.

Have we confirmed whether they are in the Gainesville area? There are folks interested in rescuing them!!!

I exchanged some emails with Gwendy over the weekend, and sent her a link to a rescue forum. She confirmed they are in Gainesville, at Alachua County Animal Services.

I know Animal Services here (at least in the past) has been very good about responding to rescue groups and holding animals until someone can get there.
