Great news! Hoping he is not injured to badly! Can't wait to hear about the reunion!

by SitasMom on 11 May 2009 - 03:05

answering services are just that way........its their business.

Before bed, get on your knees and thank your God for this blessing, then try to get some sleep. Get up early enought to eat a decent breakfest and leave your home a good 15 minutes early. Pay very close attention to your driving especially in school zones and when you see busses......Its really easy to miss that stuff when in your situation.

Tomorrow may be a very stressful day and you may need to draw on your reserves.

No matter what, we're all praying for you!

BTW -  I managed to drive right past a school bus when I was dealing with Sita's bloat scare and now have a megabucks ticket to pay for.............it was a 7 lane high way......no kids were crossing the street......thank God. Being tired, stressed and preoccupied is a very dangerous combination.

I dont think its keizer, they said they have one that is black and silver. that has been attacked by another dog and needed stitched up. were going to go look at him just in case, but keizer is black and tan with long hair, and this one has short hair.

When I lost my Kat years ago,(found out later she was taken), I spent morning, noon and night searching for her. I had bar-b-ques everywhere in the woods. I left articles of mine and my kids clothing through-out the area I believed she was in. ALL dogs were onboard for the search.I drug bar-b-Q chicken throughout the entire area. Our scent was everywhere. Night time calling really is GREAT!!!
Around here, you can call the local radio stations and they WILL announce "lost pets". Every newspaper gets a lost dog ad, that too is free where I live, and most will push the deadline time due to the fact your pet don't always choose business hrs to wander off.
And, you really do need to GO TO the animal shelters as was already recommended. Many times your dog can have a license on them, and they still say, NOPE, No dog matching that description here.
KEEP GOING, A few months ago one of my dogs wandered down the road, I had to go pick her up, THREE towns away. She was picked up by a good samaritan THAT DID call her into the shelter. Sure hope you find your dog!

We dont have an animal shelter, its a small kill pound. we have one dogcatcher, which is my bestfriends brother. He knows keizer and is looking for him. If he finds him he'll bring him strait home. My husband has lived in this town for twenty five years and knows everyone, they whole town knows us by name, and knows where we live. My sister in law's dad is the sheriff of davis. He is also looking and all police, town assosiates, pounds and vets, news paper, mailman, and bus drivers are aware of kiezer's disapearence and are keeping an eye out. It has rained every day since last wendsday, the town is flooded, roads have been closed off, turner falls has been closed, peoples houses are being flooded. This is all a huge night mare, the creek by my house looks like a rushing river, wont be long and our house will probly flood too. Keizer is gone, i dont think im ever going to see him again. Im just going to wait and see what happens.

I cannot imagine how hard this is for you. Sending good vibes for a happy outcome despite all the difficulties you are facing.

by jayne241 on 11 May 2009 - 15:05

Yes, go look at that dog just in case... I hope it's Keizer and he isn't hurt too badly.  If it isn't him, don't give up hope.  Dogs can do amazing things.

PLEASE check out the dog that was found. Several years ago, I had a bitch taken from my yard. She was picked up by animal control MILES from home with a rope around her neck. At the shelter, the idiot I spoke to wasn't able to confirm whether the gsd found was wearing a wide leather collar (she always wore an agitation collar with a brass plate showing her name, mine, address and phone number) AND could not even tell me whether it was a male or female. They also had the color wrong--they said a brown gsd and she was actually black and red saddle-marked. It WAS my bitch! So, don't just rely on their description: check it out yourself.
