WDA filed for an Injuction in Colorado.  Hearing was today and WDA prevailed.  GSDCA is enjoined from interferring with WDA's running of the Qualification Trial.  Word is that GSDCA will not file in Arkansas (state of the Qualifier).

This can only mean the competitors should rest easy as they will be legitimately guaranteed eligibility from either organization they might register under.

The looming schism of the orgs., will surely proceed.

Still wondering about the number of entries for the Combined Qualification.  Someone posted that there were 10 from United Schutzhund Clubs of America but I haven't heard or seen any numbers for teams representing the GSDCA.

I am considering going to spectate but don't want to do so if there is less that 25-30 entries. Don't want to make that drive unless a number of really good dogs will be entered.

Guess we'll all have to wait until its posted on the website.

There can only be a max of 20 entries.  The agreement between the two orgs limits them to 10 dogs each.  Don't know how many from WDA will be there.

Thanks, I was aware of that entry limitation.  For the hosting club, that limitation might cause them a significant financial burden. With a 20 team limitation, the maximum entry fee receipt would only be $4000.  That's little money for the potential expenses.

That's part of what's puzzling. Why would the WDA persue this? It has to cost something to go through court in CO. They get to manage it. It's going to bring in 4K max to be split. They will walk away with what, no more than 2k if expenses are zero. After all the expenses, if it's negative, the loss will get charged back to the GSDCA as have other losses the WDA incurred. Probably will not be readily reimbursed without more expense. The GSDCA could simply say; if we did it we wouldn't have incurred the loss but you had to have it, you got it, be happy and pay for it our of your membership. What benefit did the WDA see in persuing this?

Maybe Prestige???..... The illusion of power and position is often as powerful as the real existence of the same.

The UScA and WDA have been doing this trial for very many years, this year its the WDA's turn......... That's why they're doing it.

Finally, the secret is out.  GSDCA is submitting 7 entries and USCA is submitting 10. I wish all competitors the very best and hope that the end result of this competition is the absolutely very best and most comptetive team our country can offer irrespective of their political allegiances.
