I made a post about a week ago about BYBs, at the time I was looking for a new friend for our GSD Shiro. I had every intention of getting another GSD for him to grow and play with. And I want to thank everyone again for giving me advice about getting a well bred puppy. Unfortunately I will not be getting another GSD but I got something close. Our neighbor has and breeds beautiful working Blue Heelers, and they had their son come down from school with is female 3 year GSD, well someone wasn't paying close attention and one of the Blue heelers got to the female GSD and well, long story short, they were looking to rehome 11 "German Heeler" puppies. Say hello to Roush the "pure bred" "German Heeler" at 13 weeks. LOL! :)An image

I love Germany Shepherds...and...I love Blue Heelers...Often thought what it'd be like to have them mixed...But would NOT go there...Please keep us up on how it goes and what your puppy is like...

Thank you everyone, so far he is a sweet guy. Very relaxed, calm and well mannered to be a puppy. Very intelligent, we have started working on basic commands and he is doing great. He is having trouble with 'stay' but has learned sit, lay, heel and leave it. His heeler half has started to show, he herds our pygmy goats and chickens, or tries too anyways. He is very mouthy. Likes to bark, and he does it a lot. We brought him to our vet for his vaccines and check up and he weighs 28lbs at 13 weeks, we expect him to be about 50-60lbs full grown. His father weighs about 45lbs and his mother weighs at 75lbs. His mother is a beautiful sable GSD, they plan on getting her spayed as soon as she is healed from her pregnancy. This was her first and last littler, but she Is a very sweet and well mannered dog, but they mentioned that she has a very high prey drive, which so does our other shepherd so we are hoping it does not become to much of a problem with our other animals. His father is titled for herding I believe, (cant remember what exactly she told me) is her best stud dog, he is the sire to many high achieving dogs, so she says. Her dogs are pretty amazing. They are actually keeping two from Roush's litter and going to train them for agility, or herding. I will keep everyone updated as Roush grows!
