I believe most Americans own Guns because they're assertive, self-reliant citizens, not docile subjects of a permanent governing class.

When I was a child G.I.Joe was every boys hero.
Mattel made billions on toy guns of all kinds, then later with plastic stocks for the M-16.
John Wayne was a hero, not the Joker.
You know there must be as many reasons as there are people to why Americans own guns.

Correct, Ninja. We believe in individual Freedom and Liberty and expect our leaders to be our servants not our masters.
Currently the USG is morphing itself into a nazi/stasi police state (homeland security, TSA, etc.) and buying billions of hollow
points to kill American Citizens with. Obviously this is running against the expectations of the average normal American.
How ever those that have drank the USG and mass media dispensed koolaide have become true believers and would
support anything the USG says through the major mass media (the 6). Just like in the classic Stanley Milgram psych experiments
on how most people blindly follow authority's directives even when obviously criminal or abusive.
The current regime knows that their time is short, the financial system is collapsing, they are losing world hegemony and
all the wars they start thanks to the Internet. They know unless they complete their program of complete disarmament soon, m
any will be tried for treason and end up swinging from specially constructed wooden gallows in DC. They are cornered rats
and vicious to the max.
So what is their solution? Institute more false flag attacks like the school shooting which always happen in "gun free" zones?
Or will they do another 911 as some intel experts have expressed concern about? Could the USG deploy so/lic again to target
another large building like one of the twin towers? Just how far will these criminals in the USG and American Intel go to break the
collective will and get all the guns?
Do you folks know how many different countries America is fighting wars in right now in the Mideast and Africa. I'll
guarantee you that you will find this information profoundly disturbing. And all of them are illegal int'l war crimes, all of em
including all the drone murders too. the USG has become litle more than a killing machine and soon it looks like it
will be running out of money to fight in foreign lands, so it will come home here to the continental USA to stage its
final war against the people.

I think you have it all backwards. The current NRA regime is running scared because the society loving people of our country acknowledge there is such a thing as OVERKILL. And that my dear friends is what you deny.
