GSDCA - a german shepherd club...

WDA - trials more than just GSD's.

So does the USCA as well as sponsoring a All Breed Working Dog Championship.

what about the WDF?
they're all breeds.

by Bob McKown on 02 October 2012 - 15:10

The AWDF ? yes there a all breed orginization. The GSDCA is a German Shepherd dog orginization USCA has always been prodomitly GSD but as well as all breed. They have the Nationals which are for the GSD dog and The Working Dog Championships which is a all breed Championship.

@VKGSDs Which breed survey are you talking about? SV or USCA For breed survey with SV judge, you will need elbows certification done by SV. Doesn't matter which organization you will go with. For USCA breed survey, you won't need elbows at all.

In the latest UScA show, only UScA members can get breed survey, even with SV judge.

Betterment of the breed and not needing elbow certification?

Seby I am doing a USCA breed survey.  I have observed the same judge do one and he accepted OFAs.  I have OFA hips and elbows (don't care if elbows aren't accepted, I do both on all my dogs so they are already done) but I'm not sending everything to Germany for another $150 when I'm happy with the OFA results and feel they are correct.  So I have OFA hips and elbows, USCA registration, AKC full registration and certified 4-gen pedigree, SV BH, USCA SchH title and AD, and SV show card (SG).

I believe that the elbow cert was adopted last year but doesnt go into effect till January. I could be wrong if someone in the know has the exact date of pending enforcement.

You will be fine. As long as you realize that this is USCA breed survey and not SV korung.

I do not need an SV Korung, never said it was.  The dog is never going oversees so there's no point in paying extra for the SV version of the same thing.
