We have just been lucky by the sound of the above. We have had two Boerbels in for residential training, and they were both uk bred, sound, balanced dogs. One was an adult, and one a puppy. The only fear I have for the puppy is his owner !!! I assume these pups are in US? Mo.

They have 2 African Import females, imported at 2 yrs old. Sire was an African Import also. They both came into heat at the same time this time, one had 16 PUPPIES!!! The other 9 puppies...4 didn't make it, they are supplementing the large litter. They have 1 male that was being picked on by the other littermates. He is now dog aggressive to his littermates, but so far okay with other dogs, they are thinking of putting this pup down.
They are 14 weeks old. The female is very sweet and gentle, but has a major overbite,. The mother is going to be fixed and available for adoption too, they said she has too many puppies, and this is the first overbite, but they don't want to reproduce this. So I will end up with the mom and 2 pups, I am picking them up tomorrow, may leave the mom for abit, since I don't have the room for her. They are being raised with 2 kids, and are friendly, but not pets. Man people are coming out of the woodwork for these....yikes...I am WAY OVER MY HEAD HERE. Give me GSD's or Malinois' ANYDAY!!!! I have limited experience with them myself and I would never recommend them as pets. I too have also heard that they can be extremely aggressive with outsiders, but very good with their own family. The problem with placing them, along with other mastiff breeds is that they draw the wrong people who get them with little to no experience. I would recommend that whoever you place them with, they know the breed and have the dogs best interest at heart. I know by doing Neo rescue, most people dont have the breed knowledge or dog experience to stay ahead of them.
Let me know if you want the number.
