I asked him a question?
Hi Bernard,
Reading old testament when God gave law to Israel through Moses, and how old testament teaches how to receive forgiveness for your sins.
Bernard, how do you personally get forgiveness from the Lord, do you bring sacrifice a lamb or any other animal in exchange for receiving
forgiveness for your sins, since this law was given by God to Moses.
Here is the scripture example below.
King James Version Leviticus 5:6-7
And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin
which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the
goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for
him concerning his sin. 7 And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then
he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two
turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin
offering, and the other for a burnt offering.
You see Bernard, I have a Jesus Christ who became sacrifice for my sins or middle spokesperson who forgives my sins through his blood.
And how about you Bernard, how do you get forgiveness??? Do you still bring scarifies how Moses teaches when you sinned and need cleanness.
King James Version 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old
things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all
things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,
and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that
God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing
their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though
God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye
reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew
no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

King James Version Hebrews 9:11:28
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a
greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to
say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and
calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of
bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean,
sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the
blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself
without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve
the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new
testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the
transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are
called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16 For where
a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the
testator. 17 For a testament is of force after men are dead:
otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. 18
Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. 19
For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to
the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and
scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the
people, 20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath
enjoined unto you. 21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the
tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And almost all
things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood
is no remission. 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of
things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly
things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ is
not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the
figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the
presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself
often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with
blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the
foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he
appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is
appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that
look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto
salvation.
Bernard reply:
When the Babylonians destroyed our Temple, Isaiah and other prophets decided that prayer would take the place of animal sacrifice. Although some Jews hope for the restoration of the Temple after the second destruction by the Romans, and some of those Jews might wish to return to animal sacrifice, I would not. Most Jews believe that blood sacrifice of any kind was good in its time, but its time is not now. We believe that G-d accepts our prayers and forgives our sins when we repent. Everybody makes mistakes and the ritual of asking forgiveness is a cleansing event in our lives. It allows us to be with G-d throughout on a one-to-one basis and walk with Him/Her to the best of our ability. We do not earn points with G-d by convincing others of our truth. We leave it to G-d to perform miracles just as He did with Pharaoh. By the way, the story of our escape through the sea and the receiving of the Torah on Sinai has always protected us from those who would doubt the power of G-d. That is why, you will not find me matching verse to your verse. I am content to let G-d do His own convincing.
My Relply to him:
Thank you Bernard for your answer,
You see, their was many prophets through history that we know and they all die like all human being do; but New Testament of the Bible talks about Jesus Christ was resurrected which no other prophet in history ever has done that; and I believe his is Son of God "Jesus Christ"...
You see prophets in Bible foretold about Jesus coming, it's just Jews did not accepted him and they still waiting for some kind new messiah
to come.
I would like to remind you about that you cannot change the nature of the law, for every sin that has be committed their has to be
sacrifice, you cannot avoid or change a law, it does not matter what may people say otherwise, (I don't think God made a mistake with Moses
telling him that)
Anyway, When Jesus came a died for our sins - he became a sacrifice, so we don't need to shed other "Animal" blood in exchange for our
forgiveness. (you cannot avoid, you cannot get forgiveness from God without
sacrifice of the new clean blood.)
Bernard wrote: We believe that G-d accepts our prayers and forgives our sins when we repent.
My reply: I believe you are dead wrong since the law has not changed - but men had twisted the law how it suits them. For every sin that is committed the reward for sin is death unless you bring a sacrifice how God told to Moses in Bible. My dear friend Bernard - you cannot change the law of nature, that is
why - we Christians have Jesus Christ who shed his blood for our sins.
Thank you very much for your valuable time and Bernard did not reply.
