rik at one time everyone believed that earth is flat or that sun runs around earth. How did that panned out? Are you actually suggesting that we are at the pinnacle of all dog training and nothing else can be added to it?

Rik

absolutely. not Prager.

what I am suggesting, since you asked, is that BS is BS.

and anyone claiming some secret method of training dogs is promoting BS.

present company excepted, of course.

In my opinion everybody negociating successful training methods still believes the earth is flat, and that the sun runs around earth

- outdated, old fashioned -

but as Rik already said "present company excepted, of course " .

Yes prey can be civil

i'm not sure about that statement. the prey drive by its nature do not require fury, aggressiveness. on contrary, the defense or offense unimaginable without that state of mind. the term "civility" in application to dog means ability of dog to stand against human, who by default cannot be prey but for most part are superior opponent.
because dogs with pronounced level of aggression aren't suitable for successful commercial model, clever breeders did begin breed the dogs, in whom strong defense was replaced by intensified prey and did offer for such ersatz a definition as "prey aggressiveness" to deceive those, who still looking dogs for defense purpose.

and by the way, no I do not believe there has been that much advance in training, other than how to get points from prey.

I believe there has been advance in whelping box, so dog does bite from prey, looks good, gets points.

not flanking and other harsh methods. everybody happy.

and why do you always bring up this flat earth BS? I ain't the 15th. century pope and you sure ain't Columbus.

Ok I am teaching BS said the person. But how do you know that what I am saying is BS just because of everybody else says so or because you say so?
I am giving you tangible examples of dogs suffering from fabric fetish. I will say here that at least 80% and I am conservative, of LE or PP dogs are suffering from serious fabric fetish which I can prove to you or anybody can test such dog himself by putting the dog under adequate stress while in presence of sleeve suit or another fabric toy. This is a FACT no secret sauce. I am also saying that there are methods of training which will not make a dog sleeve happy. I do not care about millions of millitary or police dog trainers who says otherwise. Remember, the majority is always wrong.
I am willing to teach people whose dogs are sleeve happy or better yet how to avoid people teaching your dog to be sleeve happy.
I am not interested in a pissing contest. I know better than coming here with this but I am just responding to koose's intelligent question. All the questions koos asked have been answered.

valk civil means simple thing. The dog will target a man and not equipment andthat is possible in prey or in defense.
