BLATANT CHEATING BY RINGSTEWARD IN PALGHT SHOW 14.12.08 - Page 1

The ring steward(I think his name is Chacko) in the Palghat show under the judge Mr.Lim is a CHEATER.

Before we go on further,I need to stress that dog shows apart from being a passion are no more because I DO NOT BREED DOGS NOR DO I SELL DOGS.I just keep dogs for the love of the animals.My dachshund bitch was placed 2nd in champion class and while I was asked to wait by the judge for consideration for RBOB as the ch.male was BOB,the ring steward asked me to leave----------------????????????.

I have been actively showing dogs since 1993,so I knew something was wrong.When I asked him about this he just waves his hand and says wait.After the BOB and RBOB have been awarded he asks my dog to move - for what???The owner of the BOB dog and the RBOB bitch have active conversation in Malayalam with the ring steward before and during judgement-why so?Why should the ring steward have private conversation with the exhibitor in the ring???

I objected and even the show commitee and his fellow ring steward MR.Santosh from Calicut accepted that it was a mistake.Obviously this man is a blatant FIXER ,BROKER of the dog show!!!!Mr.Ananthakrishnan the show secretary spent almost 2hrs with me asking me to refrain from objecting at the behaviour of the ring steward and he was apologising profusely.I was asked to pay Rs1000 and let the commtiee decide.While I was about to do this all the senior exhibitors adviced me against this as no one has ever won an arguement of this nature.

My point is that the exhibitors need to support each other because most of us work hard to make our dogs win.My bitch would definitely have not won in Palghat,the male was better.My point is also that my dog should have been considered for RBOB.Why this farce??My dog WAS NOT GOING TO WIN,that is amply clear - she was not good enough - I agree to that myself.But should there not be transparency ,why should the ring steward ask my bitch to leave when she was clearly asked by the judge to stay for RBOB????

I am raising this issue becaue of the underhand behaviour of the ring steward.CAN SOMEBODY SUGGEST AS TO WHAT DO DO WITH THESE CHEATS????An informal survery conducted in the ground itself my  the president of the club , the secretary and I proved that many exhibitors had issues with this particular man. Why so many complaints against only this person and not against his fellow ring steward?????Dont we have competant & honest men enough handle our rings?Should we bow to the whims and fancies of the ring steward??

I REQUEST ALL  EXHIBITORS TO PROTEST AGAINST THESE CHEATS AND TO GIVE OUT SUGGESTIONS AS HOW WE CAN MAKE OUR BELOVED DOG GAME A MORE TRANSPARENT AND HONEST ONE.
