you're correct. in fight dog should place bite on whatever is accessible and do not look for certain location for bite.
seems like there are good potential but weakly explored and used.
your fault as a handler - dog isn't been taught to fight.
as duke noted, dog's action in the first video shows dog bitework based in typical for sport manner - bite and hold and ignore everything else.
when dog do not control opponent's movements it's not a fight. as protection dog, your dog is dead dog.

GK1, if protection suit available, why would one need to go through muzzled dog fight?

Valk if that dog bite u anywhere u would not strike him with anything he would imoblise you I guarantee you that. Let me tell you I was bitten by a dog with less power 2 years ago I'm talking proper bite my engry drained immediately I went into shock near straight away and was defenseless. So I know what I'm talking about. If 2 people come at this dog he will out automatically and go on the next man. And the reason the dog is not fighting is because I have tight control of him. Believe me when I say this dog would pull your are off in seconds if I gave him the space

GK1

by GK1 on 25 October 2020 - 16:10

duke1965 - dog can bite the suit in prey or defense or combination depending the dog’s genetics, previous training and reaction to decoy’s behavior. The nature of almost all fight simulation is artificiality. Once a dog experiences bite equipment, they often learn to target it when available. Which is what I see in the 1st clip.

ValK - I don’t see a problem leaving out the 2nd step in the training sequence I offered in my initial post. Again, artificiality/equipment. However muzzled dog getting tossed around by the decoy can build anger/frustration, test physical fitness and willingness to engage - before the muzzle is detached and dog can bite the familiar equipment.

bladeedge - I appreciate your confidence in your dog’s ability. Incredible how our dogs pick up on our attitude.

I heard the outside dogs barking and so did he. It's just a small video to show his atudude power speed and confidence. As I was asked earlier what would his response be

Thank you for the videos. As long as you are happy with the dog that is what counts. :)
