I get it, the difference between a good hard stable gsd and a gangsta gsd is that the gangsta dog is useless as a working dog due to a poor temperament, unreliability and is unstable in the head.

The complete opposite of a good well bred German Shepherd.

Don't know why any breeder would think this a good thing, gangsta dog should be seen as another word for cull.

Hunhdmutter, and Kinolog gangster dogs are valuable and well treated dogs for serious and knowledgable  breeders of quality working dogs. The dogs them selves are "gangsters" and not for gangsters.

Anyone looking for quality working dogs should stay away from people promoting unstable dogs with poor temperament AKA gangsta dogs.

Well yes Pete you have a point there; it may be that Hans
is confident that the definition is a (well known ?) reference
to a particular type of dog - but given the problems shown
over several recent posts here in regard to common under-
standings of terminology (or their lack !), it can so easily be
taken to mean the wrong thing, can't it ?

Vk, the description you give of your hounds, like the pup behind the bathroom door, is consistant with 'gangsta' dog. Do you take your dogs to the kiddy park to play with the little kids? Do your dogs let strangers handle them?

by vk4gsd on 18 May 2016 - 21:05

No to all, I consider that a temperament problem not gangsta-ism.

The same...your dogs are utility dogs, not pets.

VK you truly do not know what you are talking about here and are way over your head here or you are just flaming. You have never bred 1 GSD nor ever even seen dog which could be qualified as a gangster dog ,yet you are offering definite opinion on it from your key board. I am almost certain that if you post pedigree of your dog here I could probably point gangster dogs there. Gangster dogs are basically foundation and or part of revitalization of natural protectiveness of all working GDS lines of any consequence. FYI I do not call dogs strictly for sport - working dogs.
