Xeph you have a pretty smile and absolutely no reason to hide from
the camera ! Compliments to your friend on two very nice group
shots, and 'good job' to the girls for standing still and posing nicely,
it is never as easy as it looks to get that sort of pic.

Xeph, it's tough when a dog doesn't like to show, been there myself with a few I owned and one I bred. Sorry.

I sympathize too:
The very first time I walked Taz into a Show ring (small informal local
'fun' show, nothing grand) he promptly threw up at the Judge's feet.
And was therefore "excused".
This was a dog I had never seen be sick in the months he'd lived with
me, born and bred of showlines, (& who is still rarely sick, apart from the
odd time he gulps a meal too quickly). His second Show, (also a little
informal one) he stood alone. He managed not to barf this time, and
got [his one&only] 1st rosette, ho ho, - but he simply did not seem happy.
Ok this was no loss, as he has all sorts of faults, and had never been
ring-trained for conformation classes anyway; but had I cared, I expect
I'd have been very disappointed.

OMG, Hundmutter! Talk about embarrassing momements!
Reminds me of my first tracking competition with Star. I'd given her at least 5 chances to poop that morning, and she refused to go. Of course she waited until she was 15 feet down the track before downloading, AND of course, as the day had warmed up, I had removed the jacket that had my poop bags in it. The judge was very nice, and let me restart her. And I think someone else kindly provided a poop bag.

The Shiloh judge is Col Purkhiser! Very nice man :)

Indeed! The show committee couldn't wait to invite him back!
So, he also judged Vixen in her first show, right? That lopsided smile of his is pretty distinctive!
I had to look him up to see if Col was a title or a name, and he is indeed a retired U.S. Air Force colonel. His first name is Joe.

Yes, he judged Vixie her first show and was very kind to her. I'll give him an entry any time :)
