why not just PM GSD(mod) and let him know... state something like I am changing my nick name and retiring "mudwick"....and keep your avatar on new name...whats the big deal?...as long as you are here thats all that matters...i believe rule was created for those morons who got a kick out of blindly attacking others and just being childish.

I did.
It's ultimately up to Oli, so I'm just waiting to hear what he says.

The original question on this thread was, what is the proper proceedure neccessary to take if someone wanted to changed their username or create a new one and no longer use the old one. That is all I asked. I didn't mention anything about anyone doing it, or asked for names of anyone that did it. I did not accuse anyone of doing it. So I am not sure why this thread got so twisted from its original intention.

Now here it is 5 pages later, and the only ones that can answer have yet to comment as a moderator. I say this because I understand that moderators do have usernames also that they post under. Or at least that is what this forum has been told.  There is alot of speculation and accusations posted but the orginal guestion has not been answered. Wonder why not. Usually the moderators are so quick to be helpful. Sure is taking a long time to help on this one? Wonder why that is?

Ha Ha, silly you aren't the maestro. If you really wanted a personalized answer you would have sent a PM. Bet they think you are Nonaconartist, too. LOL

The reason is because nobody can read your posts. They only show up on your computer.

Duh, Chaz you just responded so guess it shows up on yours also and you too Beetree. And I guess it showed up on many others also, because there are 5 pages of comments on this thread.  cheeky

Dam Chaz, the more you respond to me, the more I am learning to love you.

Beetree, I didn't want a personalized answer, thats why I posted it on the messageboard, so others could see it also, so if they were wanting to change there names also.

No one is such a bundle of contradictions as yourself. Why complain of page number responses and whine that you don't have an answer. Employ a thinking cell and take mudwick's example of patience and all should become clear in the proper time. Oh, the impatience of youth!*

Beetree, I am not banned mom. You are really cute, with your bright ideas.  enlightened  I think I begining to love you also.

As for patience, I do have it. Generally the mods usually answer questions asking for help promptly and within a very short time. I was just giving them credit for a job they usually do well. However, I think I got an answer, although one was not actually written and posted on this thread.

Per the TOS, if you have a question for a mod, please submit in PM form, not on any of the boards.  As far as name changes, it's a case by case decision, and needs to be approved.
Thanks,
-zmod

Thanks moderator,
Since it wasn't a personal question that the answer applied only to me, I thought that by asking the question here, others could learn by the answer also
.
