I have always said we need to spend our money at home. Our infrastructure is in shambles, our poor don't eat, our vets aren't cared for, our mental health problems are ignored and plenty of good people are homeless. I know why and who started and expanded foreign aid but in this day and age when our own are suffering, it just seems senseless to keep doing it.

A lot of giving money to countries with more robust economy than ours is because of the debt we owe.
China has been sponsoring our bs 'wars' for years and we are so in debt to them, that they can fore close onthe USA and own us if we default. That's probably why they have been 'sold' prime military bases here... ..russia being sold mineral rights in Wyoming on blm land, arranged by secretary hillery, is worse than 'give aways' to keep friendly relations with other countries.

@Joan: Yes, I did. Or, most of it, I got a bit interrupted in the middle part. The civil war comment I made, I actually was thinking about that documentary, as that was the driving theme I got from the terrorists. And that has echoed other thoughts I've heard. Doesn't matter who is in their country "helping", they don't want anybody except themselves, taking care of whatever are their problems, period. If that means they live in caves shooting each other, than that is fine by them.

For us, the idea is, if they are fighting each other, and they would,as the Sunni's and the Shiites will always be incompatible towards each other, they won't be bothering us.

War is a terrible business. If it is your day to day experience, then it warps a person towards thinking of goodness within the enemy, or even as part of humanity. That seemed to be a theme, as well.

Agreed with your post.

One lingering prob. is the radicals in the west who litteraly LIVE to die. When they strike and kill and maim, there is no enemy to shoot at because they are splattered along with their victims. Very difficult to kill the enemy before they kill us when they are protected by our laws and culture.

So, what qualifications did Mr O have for president?? Come on. Any one who voted for him is a few fries short of a happy meal too, if you ask a LOT of people.
How do you expect anyone to come on here and post a differing opinion than you when you call them stupid, basically.

Quit with the ridiculing of everyone else that disagrees with you. Shows extreme immaturity and intolerance.

Trump is very successful, whether you care to admit it or not, more so than you. He can run a business, a lot better than a community organizer, not only that, he isn't bought and paid for, and we all know he was born in the U. S.

You want only those who agree with you to post on your precious board? Fine. Have at it, should make for interesting conversations.

NOT.

Yr breadth of analysis and command of statistics is staggering. This from the lady who believes anything she agrees with on YouTube regardless of how wacky.

As far as trumps business success let's hope the USA goes better than these trump ventures;

Red, if you are talking to me and if you are, in the future please address me directly, I would give you that courtesy - I don't think I call everyone stupid. I generally stay with if the shoe fits wear it type of comments. I find it a little fascinating that Trump can say and do whatever the hell he wants, including to any woman who questions him on any topic but let me say anything and I am this horrible person. Bad bad bad - so many of your stories have been proven wrong with facts and the fact we are still all alive and well long after the supposed end is the issue, not whether you are stupid. You aren't even American so your above comment is a little silly. You want to talk intolerance? lol, really? I can think of many posts showing your intolerance to groups of people because of who they love, their religion and your willingness to openly support racist members in the past. I do honestly and sincerely think you are a good person inside. I really do. You know how blunt I am so please don't take it personally you aren't stupid just your beliefs are out there. You want to believe every conspiracy you hear when it serves your personal agenda and you should expect to be called out with facts when they are there and then to keep posting more of the same links and threads is a little like the meaning of insane. Hey, I don't have hard feeling against you, just your off the wall ideas, posts and such. And I honestly believe that religion and its control over people is pretty much brainwashing and everyone here should know I am not against Christians per se but more against any religion especially those that appear and in fact are very hypocritical. It just so happens that this forum is frequented by more Christians. I can 100% guarantee that if this forum was frequents by Muslims or whatever religion and they wanted to discuss religion here I would have the same type of thoughts and comments. I need sleep, OT is killing me and I need rest.

What I don't understand is why isn't abortion a non issue in this day and age? The rejection of religion and its moral argument combined with the advances and choices available in modern birth control should make using abortion as birth control and an after thought, very avoidable, even non existent. Of course incest and rape and health risks to the mother are the obvious exceptions.

Why do average, normal (horny) people still put themselves in the position where they have to make such an onerous choice? There is just no good excuse that I can think of. We have sex education in our public schools. Condoms are handed out. Planned parenthood access is easy and confidential. There is the morning after pill for the drunk sex regrets! Why do people do this to themselves? I don't get it.

Well you should get it more, lol. Birth control (the pill) has many side effects and not all people have the money, insurance or means to get birth control. Condoms are well condoms. When I was younger I did it possibly dozens of times without getting my girl or wife pregnant. And one of the biggest reasons is religion and family shaming.
