Wait, just this one, we had to start spelling the word "B.E.D" if it was nighttime, because if we said that word in conversation, and we didn't actually go to upstairs to sleep, the dog would work himself into an upset, that we weren't following the prescribed program and actually be going to sleep.

Gigante, I certainly didn't say anything in anger. The idea was asked to be challenged, and it was, because it is a stupid idea: "Porch training" for a PP dog under the topic, "Defense". Pshaw.
Some poor newbie is going to think they are lacking in something vital in themselves because the simple concept of rewarding an innate, desired behaviour is being touted in use, only by the most elite of verbose dog trainers, because they call it "setting the default". Like these newbs won't ever be skilled, or observant enough to be able to grasp this "million dollar" concept. It is a Pet person's go-to skill, is what I am saying.
By all means, write a book on the subject. I am hardly going to stop you. Wouldn't think of trying! I just won't be buying the book.
