I don't see the handlers make the dog smell the object they should find out from several objects, so how does the dog recognize that object and fetches it to the handler?

Ibrahim, this is a scent discrimination test.  The dog is looking for the strongest and most recent scent of their handler on the objects presented to them.  Some handlers will put their hand in front of the dog's nose to allow them a quick sniff before they are sent to find the article (this is allowed).

The dog recognizes the "hot scent" (most recently touched article).  The judges use tongs and their clipboard to place the articles to their liking without placing their own scent on them.  This is done with both metal and leather objects.

The objects may be any shape, as long as they are all uniform.  It is most common to use dumbbells.
