What an eyecatching pup, very nice looking, I really like her head and expression.  Nice pedigree too.

I don't think her pasterns are real bad, but what is the protein percentage of the food you are feeding her?   Weak pasterns in pups is often caused by excessive protein from non-raw sources.

Ok, someone who knows showlines please answer this...

In the sitting pics especially, her front looks....I dunno...weird. Like her legs aren't quite straight.  My question is, is this normal and how do they mature out of it? Is it an indicator of anything for the future or just a puppy phase that a certain conformation goes through? I ask because I have a pup whose legs are not perfectly straight in a sit, either, his feet are ever so slightly easty/westy, and his legs are close to each other like hers when she sits. His feet aren't bad at all, but not as perfectly straight as I'm used to.  I have no experience with that in pups I've bred; this boy is so different than "my" puppies, I just don't know what to make of it, or if I should even make anything out of it. Maybe that's just how different lines mature??? This girl's conformation is like that, but more extreme, so I'm curious since no one has mentioned it. My pup is working lines, but goes back to a few showline-type dogs and his conformation seems to resemble them.

Thanks.

BTW, that is one adorable, beautiful little girl.

Maybe it's the way she was sitting at the moment because the picture below of her (her legs) look better? I realize that her legs aren't completely straight like some others in a few of her photos. It is slightly facing E/W. I'm glad you pointed it out Jenni because now I'm curious. ( TY BTW).

Jenni78 & BornInVietnam,

I think that at her age it is simply a balance issue while sitting. The position of her rear is different in top series of photos then in a bottom picture. Maybe she is simply compensating with her front legs to help with balance? I feel that more accurate assessment could be made if we were shown few front standing pictures.
I do feel that you have a very nice girl BornInVietnam, enjoy her.

Cute little girl right now.
The front doesn´t show any problems.
Enjoy her!

The front view was a thing which caught my eye too when I first
saw the photos of the 'little princess'.
She does look a bit "easty-westy" with her front feet,  but I could
not work out if that was more because she has the slightly
weak pasterns spotted by Ibrahim, or whether she is a bit
narrow through the chest.
Looking at the last pic you posted,  I think neither;  I reckon
grunwaldhaus has pinned the problem down.   Yes, more
pictures please, she's a very cute and shapely puppy (as
indeed she ought to be with that pedigree). Teeth Smile Like Susie, I
wish you all the best with her, hope you enjoy having her.

The new pics of her look fine. It must have been the way she was sitting.

My boy is like that; sometimes looks perfect and sometimes weird, like the earlier pics of her, which is why I wondered if it indicated anything. You get used to seeing one pattern of puppies and a different one throws you off.

Thanks.

I saw the toeing out too, but I didn't say anything about it because at her age she could easily grow out of it.  I think she elbows in slightly, which is causing the east/west look.  Elbowing in most likely a result of her chest area being a little shallow and/or narrow (which is difficult to pinpoint by the photos and would be best judged by seeing her in person and feeling her chest area by hand,) so her elbows tend to go inwards instead of remaining straight down from the shoulders.
Again, with all those funky puppy growth spurts, at this age it's too early too tell if she'll be east/west as an adult or not.  I'm inclined to think that her chest will deepen sufficiently and her legs will be straight from shoulder to elbow to pasterns to paws when she's an adult.

These are some of the photos I took of her yesterday. Some with her legs straight and others differently. I have more but it takes too long to load on here.

EuroShepherd, to answer your question ; the protein percentage that she's currently taking in is 26%.
