Maybe so, Chaz, but he should learn to spell it first. 
It depends on the size of the link, I've noticed. Some fursavers work "ok" backwards (not that you should accept that!) and some lock up. I won't say I have never accidentally put a collar on a moving animal backwards, but I always fix it immediately to the correct "P" that I learned with my very first obedience class (with my Cocker Spaniel named Biscuit) back when I was 9. I also don't use them for corrections as a rule. They're just a good "go to" collar for quick errands or a sudden need for a leash when out.

Fur savers... waste of space... just use a flat collar - as zdog says they are ni on useless.
