And that “dog with a BH that’s almost ready for its IPO1.” Clubs are full of them. Every club I’ve been to seems to have a bunch of dogs that have passed their BH…probably a really messy pass where the dog didn’t have much obedience, focused heeling, or any type of drive, and then for the next two years they work on getting the dog ready for an IPO1 by cleaning up the problems they made training it for a “just get through it” BH.
As to the admin…I didn’t mean the whole site as a “venue” I meant it more as the whole internet. The majority of the things said on the internet would never be said in person. No one would question that national level helper who has worked a WUSV in front of his face…but on the internet…easy to do! People who will never sniff that type of success need to make themselves feel better about what they’re doing…case in point, see above. In most legitimate organizations it’s almost impossible to become a national level helper within 2 years. Sure, you can acquire the skills, but you won’t have the qualifications. Qualifications usually take time and working dogs. Through that time, I guarantee you’ll pick something up as a training helper.
As to mithuna…I don’t like the person either. Sure, tons of things get ignored or just thrown to the wind. Of course the guy just wants confirmation that what he’s doing is right rather than a true assessment. But a true assessment is impossible without seeing the dog. Everyone here talks about not working the dog in protection and yet I guarantee their clubs are filled with dogs which probably shouldn’t be worked in protection for one reason or another…and yet they are and no one says a word. Why? If we didn’t work those dogs…the sport would die faster than you can blink.

Is this some kind of washing dirty IPO laundry in public?

by Hundmutter on 28 June 2016 - 16:06
Tell you what, Mith: why don't you video that whole sequence with your wife, your dog, the stairs and your bed; then put it up here, so we can judge for ourselves, since we obviously think we can "read" your pooch better than you do ? [Take it you have a phone you can use ?] I'm suggesting Odds of 50/50 prior to there being such a video. If he puts it online, I'll revise them in its light ! Besides, it would be great to see that dog actually IN MOVEMENT just this once, wouldn't it ?

Mithuna: "Neighbor promised to help make vid this week and ill post asap."
Maybe the vid will help...

Yes The vid is coming but here is a pic taken while she was moving. She is retrieving her favorite green 12 inch base ball across a snow covered field.

Beauty goes with seriousness too.

I think Mithuna is a young person or at least immature, the kind that walks around with a pitbull or am-staff and doesn't know the first thing about dogs. As long as their dogs are badass. He seems to take much pride in his dogs demeanor. While a knowledgeable person and trainer wood be ashamed. The main reason why animal shelters are full of these kind of dogs.
