One of the "concerned posters" on this very thread was a few months ago telling a story about a "well bred" dog out of one of her hero breeder's litters who would light up at a helper that's just walking by and not doing anything. Just acting like a normal human. This was praised! The dog was amazing! IT WAS BRED TO DO THAT! It is truly civil! Blah Blah Blah. Yet this dog is probably not far away from that one and people are saying it shouldn't do a lick of bite work because they don't like the poster.
Until you see the dog and meet the dog, you can't make any statement about whether or not its "safe" to work in protection.
Doesn't sound like the dog has a live bite yet. Does it sound like it has a greater propensity to have one than one of our dogs? Sure. I'm also sure there are plenty of posters here who have a dog with shorter triggers than this one and still do bite work.

Sure there are some dogs who share the bed fine. And then there are other dogs with certain owners who unwittingly contribute to creating undesirable issues.
Mithuna has a pattern. Ask a leading question with a serious concern. Find a reason to disregard all advice. State his trainers credentials and his preferences as what works for him.
He really just wants validation and not advice.
GSDAdmin certainly has a point if something in the management goes wrong.
"New York is a "mixed" state, meaning that it has a dog bite statute that mixes the one-bite rule with a limited degree of strict liability. The statute makes the owner or keeper of a previously adjudicated "dangerous dog" strictly liable only for medical and veterinary costs. For other damages, New York requires a victim to prove that the dog had the dangerous tendency to bite people, and that the dog owner knew it. Bee : Find a reason to disregard all advice" How do you know this? I think you misunderstand. I said I wanted some third party opinions to compare with what the trainer is saying , because he is new to me. I appreciate some of the things posted by GSD fan and some others. But I am the one on the ground and have to decide what to impliment as I work with my trainer.

I know this by reading all your posts. It is all here in black and white.
What advice have you taken so far? How about you list some of the nuggets of wisdom gleaned from here, that you have used and you deemed helpful?
Name three, and I will gladly apologize for wrongly assuming things about your motives.
***We cross posted, and yes, I think I am on the mark with validation being your motive.

I like how you magically determined the " cause " of my comments and then parade it as fact. I am expecting the " with hunters " to take this and run with it.
