I am considering using this food for my 2.5 year old Larus male. Very energetic dog that is going through the foundation work for Schutzhund. he is not real food motivated dog and I have been feeding him flint river ranch but of late he just doesn't seem to be really interested in the food. Any comments on the food would be much. Solid Gold as well???

I have fed a couple of the solid gold products and really liked them.

I like the results I have gotten with the Eagle Pack Holistic fish. There is also a holistic lamb. But as far as their regular food goes it is the same run of the mill with corn and other bad stuff. Flint river ranch is good stuff too. As well as solid gold. I especially like the Solid gold herbal suppliments. I would wonder about why he quit eating though. Maybe, before changing you should get him a check up and see if there is something else going on. Parasites can sometimes make them not feel like eating as well as many other health issues. Those should be ruled out first. IMHO Good luck! Debby

I have fed Solid Gold for a few years now and have been very pleased. I even started to distribute the products on a small scale to our puppy clients which helped offset our cost of food for our own dogs. If you decide to go with the Solidgold; at his age and energy level I would recommend Solid Gold's Millennia(Beef) or the Hund-n-Flocken-(lamb). The Millennia has a bit more fat which I prefer for my adult dogs. I also add the seameal with very good results. I know of clients who have had pickey eaters eat better with the seameal added. I don't have personal experience with Eagle, I guess you could research both products as far as content, preservatives, availability in your area and price to make a decision as to what you prefer for your dog.
