Get out of my room BEFORE you fart command?!

LOL!

Firstly teach the dog that each room has a name. Personally I just use the names each room already has and I walk the dog around the house and as we enter I name the room "Kitchen", "Lounge" etc etc. If you do this enough, the dog will pick up on it. I do this with my dogs for when I want them in certain rooms while we eat, I am busy doing something that could lead to me falling over them etc.

Now....the rest is not stuff I use myself but it WILL work of that I am 100% certain.

When you feel your insides rumbling, (having already done the above training first) get up and open at least 1 window. Then turn and command the dog to leave the room (e.g "Kitchen"). If you practice this a lot, the dog will quite often use the window opening as a cue to leave before you have to command.

You can then 'let go' of whatever you need to without any fear of doing damage to your dogs olfactory senses at all. Just leave the dog out of the room until you are sure the stench has passed and then give a recall command, rewarding the dog when it comes. If you watch the dog closely and notice at any time in the early few seconds that the tear ducts are leaking or the dog is choking or in respiratory distress then send the dog back out for another few minutes or so as you have called the dog back to you a little prematurely.

Can I add that whilst I think it noble of you to wish to try and save your dog from what sounds to be a very unpleasant experience, the very fact that you are even considering this would suggest that you should seek medical attention to find the cause of your flatulence?
I wish you all the very best with everything but would advise further than you should reduce your bran/fibre intake and also stay away from carbonated drinks until after you have seen a qualifiied medical practitioner.

Finally, well done for admitting you have a problem, you are halfway to a solution just admitting it.

Good luck and OPEN A WINDOW!!!!!!

LOL! My husband's dad and his uncle were playing cards one night, and his uncle let go with a silent but deadly fart. My F.I.L. blamed it on their spaniel, Biff, and ordered the dog out of the room.

A few minutes later, the uncle said, "You'd better call him back, Eric. I'm going to do another one!"

Escobar, are you referring to you or the dog?

I love my girl, but when she passes gas, she clears a room.   If this is the same issue, please keep me informed if you get information.   I have tried in vain to explain to Rose that ladies do not pass gas that smells that bad, but she does not seem to get it.

So when my male rips one, he examines the damage and then he decides about his next move. If he indeed moves I go with him, I know it is too much since he himself can't stand his own stench.

I think it is so funny when they do it and then sniff their butt
