Im a purist for natural drives, dont believe in al the shaping etc going on,other than as a training tool,
either the dog has it, or not,
from a breeder and training point of view, the qualities should be present BEFORE the training starts,

as for pup... video shows only that pup is very proactive, which is pretty common trait in WL breeding but doesn't say much for how this pup will turn out to be in his maturity. would be more interesting to see how that pup react to some thing, which can be presumed danger and scary from his point of view. how pup respond to resistance and if he has enough of stubbornness and pain tolerance to stand his ground. how quick he can recover from stress, etc.
nothing in video to make assumption about pup's potential.

Valk - did you watch to end of vid when the pup was lifted off his grip of the sweater sleeve? If that is not a display of stubbornness and response to an applied stressor appropriate for a pup that age, then I am not sure what you think would be.
I see a very tenacious little guy, with oodles of possession drive, no hesitation to mouth tactile challenges (square pipe), and great food drive. Very nice pup - he will be a handful!

Very nice pup BTW. Since you are encouraging the pup to mouth on different textures like metal and fabric, is there value in encouraging this particular pup to bite down on arm/leg through the clothing?

no issue, he bites everything and everywhere, took him in the caravan/trailer first time this week, this was result

i watched video twice, before to respond.
as i said above - i saw very proactive pup but nothing else. i didn't said pup is good or weak because this pup can turn to be anything, a hyped brainless idiot or solid working dog. there no enough hints to make assessment.
GK1
if you wanna see a truly innate traits, you should start to test your pups when they have minimum of real life experience/knowledge and responds in the way not like they learned to but how their nature forces them to do this.
tolerance to pain not necessarily mean to break pup's bones :)

That's what I am doing with my puppy, mainly because I am not experienced enough a trainer to bring out a drive that is not already there. I don't know if she will ever be a sport dog in terms of protection sports, but I'm just exposing her to things to see what she likes. So far she seems to love agility, barn hunt and herding. I haven't tried bite work because I don't know how to do it or know anyone who does. I do know she LOVES both her jute and bite suit material tugs and is crazy to play tug with them, but that is many dog breeds who love to play tug, not just GSD's.
