djc?? Noticed ANOTHER litter listed on your website also due to whelp in Jan 2007. Dam ~ Coca vom Mittelwest OFA (prelim) You show the bitch NOT to have her OFA certificiation yet? Only has her prelims? How old is she?????

by ProudShepherdPoppa on 27 December 2006 - 16:12

Didn't someone once say "The more I know about people, the more I love my dog" ?

Proud Please notice this was a pleasant post until djc showed up and attacked me. I am only asking her questions about her breeding practices as they seem questionable to me? Hopefully she will reply and clear up these questions??

Wasn't commenting on any particular post DR, just thread in general. No offence meant.

DesertRangers, She's only attacking your posts becasue you have pointed out her questionable breeding practises. This ties right in with your post on hip certs prior to breeding. Now I'll get slammed because as so many have said "Hey we're in America, you can do whatever you want when breeding"

animules..go read the posts in order.. she was not even referenced or mentioned in this post until after she attacked me on her first post. I posted the hips cert post after this attack on me. I simply don't understand why we still have breeders having litters like this.

I don’t see anything wrong with breeding dogs with prelim xrays. DR I would think you knew that In Germany they give HD evaluations at one year of age. OFA says wait until two years. Who knows when the best time is correct to xray? I would even say that any dog that develops HD AFTER one year of age was (only after a prelim xray that showed good hips) probably injured at one point and would most likely show signs of unilateral HD (left or right) with that being said I would not consider it to be genetic HD, I would see it as environmental causes. I went to DJC’s site and I have a question also. Why did they breed Ebonezer vom haus darengo to Coca vom Mittlewest? With both parents of Coca being VA, Coca has a much better pedigree than Ebonezer. A person would think they would breed this bitch to an equal or better stud. I am not putting this male down since I have never seen him in person. Ebonezer looks like a nice dog however I would not have breed this male to a bitch that is out of two VA parents. JMO How in the world did they get a FAST NORMAL PRELIM on Apollo von Nimbus? I did not know they did prelims in Germany. Jen

My point is not to start a discussion on best time to xray but in America you don't get OFA cert. until after age two when the hips are closed. Why take chances and breed a young female when she is not physically or mentally mature? And you don't have hips certified. I am just questioning the widom of this type of breeding. I know some people may disagree with then we do had a huge HD problem. People that are callous are causing this problem.

All of my bitches have OFA certification before breeding. If you would read the information...Coca is an outside bitch and if prelims/certification at one year are accepted in Germany then who are you to bitch???!!! Yes, I breed back to back occasionally depending on how well they have recovered from the first litter. Then they are rested 2 seasons. If you would read further you would know why titling is going slowly. I have discussed my opinions on titling in previous threads you can look at those if you are so interesed. In general I agree with titling, but titles are not the end all say all, as many have discussed here in the past. I don't have to defend anything to you DR. You are a jerk ! OF course that is my opinion...!! I have your sassy mouth threads to confirm it, as well as personally attacking me for no reason on the following thread http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/69913.html DON'T FLATTER YOURSELF DR, I would never waste my time with such an idiot. YOU posted this thread about the subject matter of "people people" in the dog world. I stated my opinion. Which is so ironic, because you are on the top of my list as needing the most help in that area. Your arrogance and self centeredness comes out loud and clear as you accuse me of stalking! LOL Then of course you have to change the subject and again start personal attacks. More of the same and so typical of you. Yup you are #1 on the list of lacking people skills and bad temperament. JEN, Do you put all of your value in VA titles???? In some cases they are worthless when it comes to working abilities!! Try thinking outside the box! Did you ever think maybe the owner wanted to make some improvements for other reasons??? Like working ablity, pigment, non-roachback etc. as well as keeping decent comformation in the mix.
