Anyone have new dogs or big plans for this trial season? Anyone have good working breedings coming up? Anything dog related at all?

Baden is almost a year and a half now. Though he is one of those Belgian bred, slow to mature dogs, we might try to trial at the very end of the season in PSA. More than likely, I will just be getting him aquainted with all of the senarios, piecing it all together, sharpening him up and wait for him to tell me when he is an adult. At 18 months we still pee like a puppy.

I have a new pup, super promissing female. She will be fun to bring up, now that I know more what to expect with these lines. This one is faster, more athletic, drivier, just overall crazier, than her big brother. Too younge too tell if she has the crazy huge grips Baden does but her never back down, never give in drives, will more than make up for it if not.

I hope to get the BH at least on Worthy's Fenja, 16 months, also Belgium bred, and get the SchH1 on Worthy's Arwin.  Need to shake the lead out of my two left shoes (which are special made for my two left feet) if I'm going to get the SchH1.  I can't wait for the snow to thaw so we can go tracking...I rather like tracking, it's peaceful and I get to walk in straight lines.  I have some breedings planned, of course.  Might bring in frozen semen from a solid black Vito Waldwinkel son who I saw in person in Germany who is super for one of the breedings.  Veronica

schh I, schh II, and maybe schh III on one of my males. probably just sch I on the other towards the end of the season. they both have only BH's currently, with two dogs and not enough free time its hard to get too crazy, but its time to knock it out!

Trialing my female, developing some young prospects, helping the wife who is joining the sport, training, and helping my friends achieve their goals.

My little girl will be brought up the same as her brother. We will play with the bitwork, assess her streangths and weaknesses, build drives, work on countering, grips and anything we can do when she is still a pup. Hopefully she will have what is takes to move onto PSA. Nothing showing yet that looks like she can't hang with the best. This girl would be great in Schutzhund. She loves to use her nose. It's deep in the ground all of the time. I'm constantly worried she is looking for a spot to go on the carpet but she is just tracking the cat or somebody dropped a crumb.

Gardening has been an extra hard chore this spring. Little Dasti thinks rakes, brooms and anything that moves, must be stopped and pounced upon, chewed and chewed some more. Makes for slow work.

I am hoping to get Vandal through his first level tracking/trailing certification within the next six to eight months. In order to keep anyone from unduly rushing their dog through the process you can't take the certification test before a year.

There is a  four day SAR seminar next month I am going to. I'm really looking forward to it. Especially the helicopter hot load class/certification for the handler.  They will be doing that three days and I intend to spend at least one afternoon in a chair moving closer and closer to the helo pad with  Vandal just to get him desensitised to the noise and air rush. If he ever needs to be airlifted in or out of a remote search I don't want him to be overwhelmed with it. Goodness knows I won't get a lot of chances for that.
