what are your thoughts on donald trump and his recent announcement that he will seek the republican nomination?  can this man be trusted?  he sounds ultra- conservative, but is that just what people want to hear?  i don't believe he is the best choice, but at this point, he may be the only one who actually has a chance of winning.  if he does run for potus, who would you like to see as his running mate?

I was at CPAC 2011 and heard him speak. If people don't or didn't like Bush they wont like Trump. If you didn't watch the CSPAN footage of his CPAC speech live, you seen the edited versions. Ron Paul won CPAC 2011 btw. 2nd year in a row.

Trump is like a Bush on steriods when it comes to foreign war. He loves Oil and more of it. I honestly don't think Trump will allow the vetting of his portfolio and finances either. Although be managed to grab hold of all the "birthers" and "neo tea party-ers" .... that's huge enough prolly to say the least. I think Sara will prolly be his veep too if he decides to run.

As far as the Republican Party goes, anything has to be an improvement on "flip flop" McCain.

i think the conservatives are tired of leaders that don't bring it on......

they want a strong leader thats ready to fight for our country's future, not "compromise".

I only listened to him about 30 seconds talking about "the spoils of war" and that we should help ourselves to some oil fields to reimburse ourselves for the wars we find ourselves in.......

Got me thinking, perhaps he might as well start up the ol' ransom war chest too, so we can deal with pirates and other kidnappings. How about we make Japan pay restitution for leaking radioactive isotopes, too?

How many times has Trump filed bankruptcy? Anybody know? I wouldn't mind having a strong leader but Trump should stick to Real Estate. IMHO

I also agree he should stick to what he is doing.  We need him running this country like we need more smog...................

i like huckabee and i like ron paul, but i am not confident that either of them could win.  :(
sitasmom is absolutely correct about the conservatives needing/wanting someone strong -
a real leader.  they need to quit worrying about winning liberals over.  it aint gonna happen.
just get down to business and say what needs to be said.

It's funny to me that so many conservatives rant about how liberal Hollywood is, but they always seem to be the ones that elect people from Hollywood. Schwarzenegger, Sonny Bono, Fred Thompson, Ronald Regan, Gopher from The Love Boat were all from Hollywood. Trump is just another in a long string.

I love that Trump is out there campaigning. He is going batshit crazy to the right and that's forcing everyone else running for the republican ticket to shift to the hard right. When republicans shift hard right it's always good for the Democrats.

Vera Coking won her fight for her Atlantic City home
against a New Jersey state agency and Donald Trump
 .

* "Trump convinced the State agency to use its “eminent domain” power to take Vera’s home so he could construct a limousine parking lot for his customers—hardly a public purpose. " *
