It's $3.75 per gal where I'm at in Illinois

$1.21/Litre here.
Which would be $4.58 a U.S. gallon.

I was wondering when someone would ask that question

Red Sable, you have the imperial gallon up there, I believe.

Yup, but I switched it to yours. At least I'm pretty sure I did, because I know we've had this discussion before. I liter = 3.785 U.S. gallons.

Here we have one station that has yet to raise its price...$3.11 per gallon. Needless to say ,they are getting all the business, even though they close at eight. Everywhere else is at $3.25 per gallon for reg unleaded, and diesel is hovering at $3.80 per gallon. This is in North Idaho. In Spokane, Washington, where they pay more gas tax than we do, gas prices are barely higher than here.
We're all being screwed, royally, everywhere in the world. The prices we are being forced to pay are not based on what oil is actually being sold for, but what the speculators THINK it will be selling for in the coming months. It's all a big fraud scam, and we're all paying the price for it, from Canada to Mexico, New Zealand to Europe. It's not over yet, and I think it will get worse. I do wish ill on those whose guesses cause the rest of the world pain...
Sad...Sad days indeed.
