alboe2009,
Do you have any pictures of the above ground kennels with the flooring in?

is this the place?
we have a few hunting kennels out here, and I think I've seen these.  do seem to have alot of benefits, and being my dogs would only spend a few hours at the most in them, not bad, and really good prices.

Moons:   I agree with you .. I have seen a male eat thru a RR tie  that was holding a fence up at the SO Apprehension DOGS kennel in Santa Fe...Konig was boarded there while I had a meeting to go to and I got back and went to get him before the K9 officer got home...Konig had eaten a hole and almost to the point of getting his head thru it..he found out if I eat this hole out...only place in a welded kennel wire that he could go...bottom and top constructed so nothing could get in or out....but BRAINS  went to work and found out  even a great big huge RR tie post  can be eaten away at...and if I had not gotten there or JIMMY first  ,  Konig would have been out.........

My experience with TRACTOR SUPPLY kennels was same as POWER HAUS./..

My mother had chows when I was little, those dogs could bite and eat thru anything but galvanized cattle panels.  those same panels still line my property and still keeps in dogs.

someone desides to be that destructive and eat thru a RR tie, then I think that calls for hotwire.

I see some posts were deleted this morning, too bad.

Moderator comment: This is a warning. No explanation is necessary about why the posts of someone were deleted from this thread and why your subsequent new thread complaining about that was deleted. You already know why the posts here were deleted and that person is now blocked from posting. My suggestion for you is to drop the subject, and don't bait moderators.

Second moderator post: Your statement on the post that was below and now has been deleted is that Helser is allowed here. You can be sure that Helser is not going to be posting on here if one of the moderators catches it. His posts too will be summarily deleted and he will be blocked. People who come here to stir up trouble will be blocked and so will scammers, animal abusers etc. As for where Oli is or is not, or how his email is routed, I think that is not your business. He has left the moderation to the people he chose to do it, and I doubt seriously that he will involve himself at all in the moderation as he has better things to do. If you don't like the moderation, as has been noted before, there are other forums which you might wish to go to instead. There is very little deleted recently because some sanity has returned and most of the troublemakers have gotten the message. It is a much more pleasant place for the many who wanted to come here but were sick of all the crap. I am certain that all the moderators will continue to do exactly as they have been doing.

Uber Land,

My kennels, first and last pictures I'll try and take an "overall" picture in the next couple of days. But my kennels are on a "platform 16" off the ground.  I'm renting and didn't want to build something permanent that I might have to destroy when moving or possibly leaving as a freebie for the next tenants. My platform houses 3 kennels. My corners are 6x6s tied in with 2x8s, framed out with 2x8s. 3/4 ply sheathing but I coated the ply with a black waterproofing. The roof framed out with 2x4s and OSB, tar paper and shingles, downsloped to the rear. I'm on a farm so I wanted them to stay off the ground.

My main kennels are Prefiert (sp?).  I also had one from Tractor Supply just like you linked too.  It worked just fine and was a good value. I had it set on rubber stall mats so it kept fairly clean.  It's still being used by my friends that now own one of my females.  I also use the welded wire stock panels for many of my pasture fences.  18' long X 50" (or is it 54") tall.  Smaller openings at the bottom, larger at the top.  I think the larger openings are too large for permanent kennel use.  I have made them into temporary runs which worked well under supervision.

No matter what you pick for the sides, pick something strong for the cover also.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I discovered that there is a reason for different experiences with Tractor Supply kennel parts. They show a specific brand on their website (my by Behlen), but some of the stores don't have license to carry that line, so those stores carry another line that looks exactly the same but deep down isn't quite as hardy. Here' s the real issue, and I'm not sure if it is intentional or not. Behlen's top of the line, heaviest duty system is called Magnum. The alternate line that Tractor Supply carries is called Magnum. So we went to our local tractor supply and saw the "Magnum" kennel set up in the parking lot and it looked like the one on the website, but was a tiny bit different (I think the door swing was different and the corner connectors were a bit different). Anyway, I went home and called Behlen, because we wanted 8-10 of these and wanted to see if they would drop ship directly to us. When I told the guy where I was and what I'd seen at TS, he said those were NOT their kennels, that In Georgia I had to call someone else. I haven't gotten to the other place to go check it out yet since it is almost 2 hours away.
