I purchased a female shepherd puppy from a reputable k-9 trainer in NC last spring. I paid in full and received her about 5 months later, much later then was expected. I was told by the owner of the company when I picked up the dog the pedigree paperwork would take 4 months to come in..I have yet to receive it.
It's been over a year, I since then bred the female to my pedigIreed male and cannot register the pups without her paperwork.  I've contacted the owner of the company and he says he doesn't have them in yet?!? What can I do..is there any way to obtain these papers with her tattoo number? Any help is greatly appreciated. I cannot sell the pups for a fraction of what they're worth with out the paperwork. I don't want to make this a legal matter but i feel i may have to because I cannot wait any longer for the paperwork

You bought a "pup" last spring and you've bred her already?  How old is she?

Sorry, that was just what I picked up right away.  Was she imported?  If not, it should not take 4 months for paperwork to come through.  If she is, I'm not sure how long it takes, someone with experience with importing should be able to answer.

I'm assuming this dog is an import?  How old is she?  Who is the trainer and how do you know he's reputable?

She is from Slovakia, I have her passport as well. I've purchased all my dogs thru him. Tarheel Canine...Jerry Bradshaw in Sanford NC.

Why not just place your opps litter as unregistered pets on spay/neuter contracts ?? $500 a puppy is a reasonable adoption fee for unregistered excellent pedigreed puppies. Make sure you check there personalitys and drives really well and place them in apropriate homes..

Good luck to you

I don't think I should take a loss at this point, I should've long had the papers..and I paid enough for her. All of the pups are showing good drive and promise at this point. And not many people would pay 500 for an unregistered dog.
