GSDPACK

I inported two bitches from Czech nothing wrong with them! actaully one is a very nice female, one is a good female. Sold for business purpose to support small kennels. not because they were garbage! Maybe you dont know where to look, but Anrebri is NOT the only seller with good dogs. I know Hans just sold two fantastic females out of a very nice Czech kennel I know the breeder and she has produced some EXEPTIONAL dogs.. just becasue you dont know what to look for doesnt mean all the dogs are crap..

And hell ya, I am going to ask money for somebodys hard work. Shipping is expensive and I know Lufthansa just increased the prices. It takes about 1200 bucks to ship a dog out. ZVV1 titled female out of very nice bloodlines trained to pass, yet not screwed up is about 3800 usd..that is more than a fair price for a nice female. Or you can go and train it yourself... see how much you would value your dog...

To think that dog which will not work for a stranger, in a strange environment, climate, food, water, timezone,  inferior and/or to him/her  unusual handling abilities of a new owner,  improper delivery of commands and their timing , different reward system, and different training approach in general and not enough time to bond with the new owner and other   major changes in his life will not work because he falls apart because of the flight is well,....uh,.. ignorant to say the least.  And "I can't  believe into what pretzels I got myself into" to call just that; ignorant.

Some of these dogs I've seen though, in Germany, Czech, or Slovakia that are for sale.....if you look at the videos, you can tell they were completely compulsion trained, and trained too fast, just enough training to slap a title on them.  Poor sloppy obedience on a lot of them (my Huskies do better obedience than these dogs, at least the ones I saw).  A lot of the other work I saw wasn't that great either, if these dogs were still on here I'd post video links. Regardless, they were asking around $8,500 or more for these dogs and they only had SchH 1, or ZVV1 titles, and that's it.

Young dog with SchH1 , ZVV1 or so will cost around $6500-$9000+S&H. Ask for videos. If you do not like what you see do not buy the dog. That is simple.

Hans you selling ocean front property in Arizona too at those prices, Thats BS. Just came back with 3 dogs a decent Czech dog he thank goodness was trained in Germany and his training is good and a sch2 male and sch 3 male and the prices you are saying is a joke. There are damn good dogs to be had in Europe for a good price. I have a few friends in clubs and a cop or 2 there that help find me dogs and the prices for all 3 where not $9000 and these are all police quality animals and a normal. You may sell your dogs for the Prices you quoted if you can fins a sucker BUT PLEASE people investigate before you invest go shop find a sportsman in Germany or Belgium and become friends and find out the real prices importers are paying. I saw some SVV1 dogs that where good looking dogs but no way could I have used them the foundation training was not good enough . I also saw 2 young females for sale from the Anrebria or how ever you spell it that where damn good and are in Germany but I never really look for females.

As far as the dogs adjusting to a new handler and working right out of the box we call them Whores. They will work for anybody at any time without caring for the handler. I have traveled to several countries, imported many dogs for police work and ALWAYS the best ones are the ones that took a few weeks to settle in ALWAYS.

As far as titled dogs in Czech and Slovakia if you can't go test them then get a good video. If you cand see the holes in the dogs working ability in the videos ask for help from someone who has more experience. If you don't like the dog don't buy it.  I deal with one guy from Slovakia, one guy from Czech and one from Germany now because they know exactly what I want and we have had good relations for years.

A good titled Zvv1, IPO1 dog for police work will cost me around 4,500 -5000 plus shipping. BUT a quality dog with a breeding pedigree from popular lines and good looks for breeding purposes will cost much more than that. Again why would a good police dog trainer want a titled dog to start with?????

Yeah find sportsman in Germany or Belgium and then make a leap of faith with someone in foreign country and hope that all is going to get well since if it does not you have a law suite with someone in  Timbuktu.  Also if you go to Germany or Belgium or Slovakia  how much is your airfare  ticket, hotel and car rental and restaurant eating and gas, and time lost at work,  ......worth?!

Hans you are a funny guy like  PT Barnum.looking for a sucker born every minute . they are sportsman and not looking to make a living from there dogs, some are trainers and always looking for the next dog for more points. They are not looking to make a living  etc like  someone who sells dogs for a living so they are fair and reputable and sell their dogs for a normal price.   You seem like a nice enough guy but you do not have to justify high prices to me only to the poor suckers who feel better paying them. If people feel better paying high prices thats there right, There are still some honest dog trainers in Europe who will treat people fair as they themselves want to be treated fair.

As I said show me an import  SchH3 of quality for $3000 and I show you the money...all day long.If you think that the sellers of dogs in Europe are all honest sportsmen who want to help Americans who they love and give them a quality top dog for peanuts,  then not me but you are the sucker and  I  have beach front property for you here in Arizona which I can sell you.
Look  I am not running a  charity. I provide service based on  my 44 years of knowledge of Czech GSDs and 57 years of   knowledge of customs, and people of Czech rep. I also promote quality GSDs from there and not the crap which is now there on market and I help to my customers get such dogs with minimal risk for them and backed by additional service and warranty and advice after they get the dog.   And I love dogs thus I am lucky that I do what I love. It chops my hide when people insinuate that I and people like me  do it (just) for money and looking for suckers and that we should do if for free or less money. I assure you I am not getting rich on this. I am braking even and on a good day I make little extra for a bad day in the future . Above  I have made a partial list so that you understand what it takes for people like me  to import a quality dog to a customer who does not want to go to Europe and try to figure this all out on his /hers own. Yes you can go to Europe and get lucky and get a good dog (or not), but if you ad your costs it is not cheaper. Or you can go and contact some schlock on Internet and hope for the best. I can tell you many horror stories. If I would buy a foreigner car  I would  not go to buy a car into Japan from manufacturer either. I go to a respectable dealer here in Peoria, AZ next door and buy car there. That dealer who took care of all the importing BS  will then guarantee the car and maintain it and so on.
The topic of this thread is about quality dogs from Czech ad Slovak. I can and do get such dogs to  clients here. Yes there are crappy dogs sold to not so savvy Americans rather then taken behind the barn and shot. Now that is a fact and not a figure of speech. Most people do not want to take a chance to get such a dog.
