As in any kennel, you can find top dogs as well as not that great ones in this kennel. However, what I must admit the quality of their breeding animals has increased a lot since Marek Lenard became the head of the kennel. All the dogs that were in the kennel at that time were tested and the ones that didn´t have the qualities needed in police dogs and for breeding were offered for adoption. Moreover, the males he choses to be the sires of the litters are always very strong dogs in character, drives, dominant ones with strong dogs in their pedigree. He travels a lot and knows the dogs in person.

I don't know of a breeding station website, and doubt you'll ever see one for public viewing.  The washouts will most likely be sold to local brokers.

Law enforcement in Slovakia is divided among various agencies under the Slovakia ministries of Interior, Justice, Traffic, Defense, Finance, and local governments within the Republic, and The Slovak Secret Service (Slovenská informačná služba).

Civil policing responsibilities are shared between the state and local level: in addition to the National Police Policajný zbor Slovenskej republiky, (Police Corps of the Slovak Republic) various municipal police forces exist.

Railway policing is provided by Železničná polícia (Railway police).

Military policing is the responsibility of Vojenská polícia (Military police), which is under the ministry of Defense "Ministervo obrany Slovenskej republiky" (MO SR).

On July 1st, 2008 the Kynologické středisko was disbanned, replaced by the newly formed Centrum výcviku a kynológie vojenskej polície (Military Police Canine Training Centre)

WO2 Ondrej Bihari, was in 2009 chief of the Army Dog Unit, but appears the most current contact information is provided below...

 Hi A17,
Just saw this older post, I hope I can help you as I have a dog
directly from Policia Slovakia.......The Dog is great.... if your looking for good protection
dogs they still have some good ones that become avaliable every once in awhile. If you like
Pm me and I will give you more particulars/ in my case the Police officer retired and My
Friend in Slovakia bought him and sold him to me after spening a 2 weeks in Slovakia
bonding with him and making sure he was what I was looking for. These dogs have allot
of Blood lines from the Border Patrol still in them. Jiri from Jinopo saw my Dog while I was
on a Seminar in Arizona last Year. He said I was Lucky to get the Dog
not many go to Civilians. Have a great Thankgiving and
Holiday.

Hi Jyl,

Yes,  the Photo is of Him Chino Policia Slovakia, He is in the database here. So you
can see his Pedigree right here. His Protection is Hard and police like grips always full. Tracking
is deep and Methodical , Just a perfect example of what these Great Border patrol dogs did so
well for many years. His Sire is In California, " Zoran Ben-Ju" his dam was a very good police
dog and past these strong police characteristics on in her pups from what I know she was still in Slovakia.
I also got to work with his son (about 18 months old) his protection was very solid, the dog name was
Grim but I don't recall where he was sold to. I Have some video on his son also , he was larger then
Chino but you could see the Similarities in Him.
I think anyone seeing these dogs work would easily see why many dogs
from the Kennel never become avaliable at a young age and many are kept by their handlers to
breed from.  His Obedience is also very good and he watches his handler constanly, this dog is always
watching my back just this week we did a little work with 2 Decoys.......they couldn't fool him and
get close to me even in the woods he would come off to protect as other decoy got close. I spent
allot of time finding a dog like this and the research and time in Czech Republic and Slovakia paid off
We have a once in a lifetime animal. PM me if you want to learn more or see him on video.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.  Also A17 would love to see pedigree on dog your looking at anything I
can do to help let me know:-)
