I think that our Sieger show should be judged by an American judge or at least all German judges should have an update about foreign dogs participating in our Sieger show and not residing in US, I think all dogs residing in US should be considered for the VA title before considering a foreign dog not residing in US (even if the foreign dog is slightly better), there is way too many dogs coming to our Sieger show and leaving the day right after back to Germany or any other country where most probable it will be for sale after adquiring the VA. I highly praise the WDA input to award the best American bred, I hope one day we can have a 50% of all American bred placing VA at each Sieger show, and that our dogs can make a VA Career. I praise US schH for pushing for all American judged shows. I praise Mittelwest for using our VAs, VA Wilmarkens tito, Jaguar, Burschy, Ham, Nero, Zathan and etc. Not having to go over seas and using our own VAs, proving that if the right bitches are taken to these American, VA males they can too produce.

I understand the concern in regards to German bred and German dogs coming here and placing so high in the line up and then flying home, but what we do is pretend they are not there and go by the first American owned male as the VA1 etc... because thats what everyone does any way. I think its great when American bred place well in Germany though... I wouldnt want to see them lose that placing because they were bred here. What American, SV judges do we have qualified to judge a Sieger Show, where the show rating counts? Regards, Dawnmarie

We have a few good qualified judges, just because they are Americans or live in US people tend to think they aren't qualified enough, and just because they think like I do, I think it be nice to have a judge traveling around the US and knowing what every VA is producing? what dogs are campaigning every weekend on our home land, people working hard, nothing wrong with buying an import and placing VA as long as the dog stations in the US for a period of time, Germany will not allow these judges to move forward, they won't do it with any other European countries neither, Italy, Switzerland, France, Scandinavian countries etc., have their own national judge and they judge their Sieger shows, I think that we should own our Sieger show, and always respect the SV as well.

Sue, Where do you think Tito, Jaguar, Burschy, etc.... came from? I can appriciate your position that dogs awarded VA in our sieger show should remain to promote the breed in the US. Thats a nice thought. To go with that thought should be the additional thought to USE the VA dogs that stay here. Looking at the VA dogs from both shows which ones are you saying were bought here for the show and then returned to Germany the next day? A VA rating from a US show does not increase a dogs value in Germany, trust me. The problem is that the good dogs that are brought here from Germany are not used. Most breeders breed locally. Very few ship to Germany to breed compared to the number of litters produced in the US. At this point I favor SV judges for both our sieger shows, especially in the working class. SV judges bring a different dimension to the show. There is no judge in the US at this time that has the background, knowledge, expierience that the SV judges bring to the US when they judge. In addition, the SV judges are the judges that set the direction of the breed. They know what lines are most promising and what dogs represent the direction of the breed in Germany. TYhey know this by judging the best in Germany each week. They see the dogs and what they produce. They know the dogs ancestors as they judged them too. We're not ready to cut the tie yet.

***We have a few good qualified judges,**** Hi Sue, whom are these judges you speak of whose rating counts at a Sieger Show here in the US? Regards, Dawnmarie
